Abstract

Extreme extended range projectile adopted glide extended range technique and advanced simple guidance technology was a new type of projectile. It was in favor of attaining best range-extended effect to analyze and research extended range mechanism of extreme extended range projectile. The glide extended range mechanism was elaborated from the force analysis in glide flight, and the mainly influence parameters on aerodynamic characteristic, trajectory design and control parameter design were analysed.Preliminary analysis shows that,in order to obtain best glide extended range effect, the projectile has a specific aerodynamic shape and aerodynamic characteristic, make great efforts to improve the lift-drag ratio, has a high start glide trajectory and start glide velocity, select start glide time near the peak of the trajectory in favour of increasing flight distance, reasonably match flight control parameter, and generally adopt the glide flight way of maximum lift-drag ratio to obtain long glide flight distance.
