Abstract

Chemokines and their receptors have important roles on immune, inflammation, hematopoiesis and HIV infection, etc . Close attention has been paid to chemokine stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1 ) and its receptor CXCR4 owing to their roles on migration and homing of hematopoietic stem cells and on HIV infection. The mechanisms have also been probed. This paper reviews the relevant contents with SDF-1/CXCR4.
