Abstract

Pot experiments (root-rag method ) were carried out to investigate the influence of Zinc, Cadmium and Zn-Cd complex pollution on plant growth, nutrition absorption, Zn and Cd accumulation in ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.). The results showed that Zinc, Cadmium and Zn-Cd complex pollution inhibited the plant growth of ryegrass. Plant biomass decreased by Zinc pollution within 5% contrast to the control, and the decrease of plant biomass by Cadmium and Cd-Zn complex pollution exceed 25% . The concentrations of N, P and K decreased by Cadmium, Zinc and Zn-Cd complex pollution. The maximum of inhibition on nutrition uptake by plant was found at Zn-Cd complex pollution treatment. Under Zn-Cd complex pollution condition, synergistic effect between Zn and Cd was observed in Zn and Cd uptake by ryegrass. After taken by ryegrass, Zn and Cd were distributed mainly in shoot. The maximums of Zn and Cd concentrations were found at Zn-Cd complex pollution treatment by 3108.72, 73.97 mg·kg-1, respectively.
