Special Education and Special Pedagogy in Teacher Education

Abstract

Education and pedagogy are not the same thing. Education specialty is not equal to pedagogy specialty in teacher colleges. For special education, special pedagogy can not substitute the specialties such as language and literature, mathematics, foreign language, and physical education for the deaf. Special pedagogy which has common characteristics with pedagogy is only a part of specialties in special education. Among the specialties for special education in teacher colleges, besides special pedagogy, there should be other specialties dealing with some courses in skeleton special education schools.
