Abstract
In the summer and winter of 2004 and 2006,four typical avian communities(residential land, cultivated land, forestland, and wetland) were studied in Jiangxinzhou Alluvium.A total of 67 species belonging to 25 families out of 10 orders were recorded. The results based on the research of the principles of the avian community such as avian density(D),biomass(EB),Shannon-wiener index(H′),species evenness(J) and superiority(C) showed that the density, diversity and evenness of the winter avian community were higher than those of the summer community, but the superiority and the biomass of the former were lower than those of the latter.Different cases were found in different habitats: the highest avian density and diversity occurred in forestland, the highest superiority in residential land, the highest evenness in forestland in winter, but the highest evenness in residential land in summer.
