This paper discusses the construction of special database in the library of Northwest University for Nationalities from aspects of the topic selection planning and demonstration, the choice of software platform, the standards of database constitution, the data collection, the problems in the construction of special database,the coping strategies, and the late propaganda and maintenance, etc.
