Observation on the therapeutic effect of the prednisone,tripterygium wilfordii,ligustrazin in old age primary nephrotic syndrome

Objective:To study the therapeutic effect of the prednisone,tripterygium wilfordii and ligustrazin in old patients with primary nephrotic syndrome.Methods:Fortytwo old age primary nephrotic syndrome patients were randomly divided into two groups.The treated group including 22 patients was treated by prednisone,tripterygium wilfordii and ligustrazin,and the control group including 20 patients was treated only by prednisone.The total relieving rate and recurrence rate were observed in the two groups,and the changes of serem albumin,24 hours urinary protein,plasma lipid and renal function were observed on both pretreatment and post-treatment groups.Result:The total relieving rate in treatment group and control group were 90.9% and 60% respectively,the recurrence rate were separately 20% and 41.7%.There were significantly difference in the two groups(P0.05).After treatment the indexes of serum albumin,24 hours urinary protein,lipid and renal function were ameliorated in two groups,but the degree of amelioration in the treated group was higher than that in the control group.Conclusion:The therapeutic of the prednisone,tripterygium wilfordii and ligustrazin in old age primary nephrotic syndrome could increase the effect better than the therapeutic of prednisone.
