In the development of Chinese ancient fiction, all kinds of narrative styles in WeiJin and NanBei Dynasty constitute a preparation period leading to maturity of tales of the marvelous in the Tang Dynasty. The evolution of every Zhidunzhuans formation in different eras can reproduce the gradually changing course in their content and form of this style, thus making clear the origin and direction of the style of tales of the marvelous (short stories)of the Tang Dynasty.
