Abstract
A novel sensitive flow injection chemiluminescence(FI-CL) method for the determination of Vitamin B_4(VB_4) in pharmaceutical preparation is presented. It is based on the strong enhancement of VB_4 on the CL between Luminol and H_2O_2 in alkaline condition.Various factors affecting the CL emission intensity of the system have been studied. The enhancement of CL emission intensity is linear with the concentration of VB_4 in the range of 1.0×10~(-5)-1.0×10~(-2) g/L.The limit of detection is(3×)10~(-6) g/L(3σ).The relative standard deviation is 1.4% for 2.0×10~(-3) g/L VB_4 solution in eleven replicate measurements. It has been successfully applied to the determination of VB_4 in pharmaceutical preparation of tablets.
