Abstract
Construction columns are required in frame-supported brick building of anti-seismic structure, which has an effect on the load-bearing capacity of the masonry. The stress of the construction columns is obtained from the experiment of a 1:4 scale model with frame on fist storey and brick masonry wall on upper storeys under vertical loads. This can be valuable for the structural design.
