During Ming and Qing dynasties,Kaifeng,the capital of Henan province,was the political, economic and cultural center of the central plains,so it attracted many merchants,including some Huizhou merchants,who were groupe into fixed merchants,and long-distance merchants,and they mainly manageed salt,cotton and pawning.Huizhou merchants plays a certain role to promote Kaifeng' s development of commodity economy.
