Abstract

Bohai Bay basin is a typical complicated stacking basin, which provides favorable condition for the development of buried hill. There are a lot of fault block hills that lie in the southeast of Bohai Bay. The formation of fault block hill is closely connected with the tectonic evolution of Jiyang Depression. Paleozoic tectonic evolution is the basement of the formation of buried hill and the Indo-China tectonic movement is an important condition for the formation of buried hills.Buried hill emerged in the Yanshan Period due to the block faulting and finally formed in Cenozoic. The fault block hills can be divided into three types: fault terrace 、fault ridge and residuary hillock fault block. The character of tectonic evolution controlled the hydrocarbon types of buried hill 、reservoir condition and the scale of oil field.
