Abstract

The continental strata since Late Paleozoic have been developed in Liaoning Province,Northeast China.Abundant fossil plants are yielded in the sediments from Late Paleozoic through Cenozoic. The article summarizes the reported fossil plants in the province, including some 480 species in about 200 genera, spanning Paleozoic,Mesozoic and Cenozoic. The genera and species are listed in natural taxonomy, with explanatory notes on the localities, horizons and ages attached to them. Some significant groups or unique fossils are also pointed out.
