Abstract
It is impotant for the Economic Zone on the West Bank of Taiwan Strait to deepen the economic cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, as well as to make full use of its advantage relative to Taiwan. The key to which is carrying out the city combination strategy to create the advantage of Clusters of Local Economy. Xiaquanzhang (Xiamen,Quanzhou and Zhangzhou) City Combination is beneficial to raise the competitive power of the Economic Zone on the West Bank of Taiwan Strait, thereby strengthening the competence in resisting its marginalization of regional economy, and thus it should be expedited with all strength. This paper merely discusses the significance and the developing orientation of the Xiaquanzhang City Combination.
