Abstract

A newly isolated strain was identified as rhodococcus erythropolis TJQ,which can specifically remove sulfur from the model compound of dibenzothiophene with 2-hydroxydiphenyl as the dead-end metabolic product.Rhodococcus erythropolis TJQ can use both organic and inorganic sulfur as vegetal sulfide.The strain growing with sodium sulfate can effectively desulfurize benzothiophene(BT) DBT and its derivatives 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene(4,6-DMDBT).Besides,it can degrade the sulfur in phenyl sulfide and dodecanethiol.The result of degradation of the model compounds TH,4,6-DMDBT,DBT in n-hexcedecane is better and the desulfurization of PS and BT is effective too.It can decrease the total sulfur of diesel oil from 554 ppm to 267 ppm with the rate of 51.8%.
