Abstract
Objective:Study the optimum extraction process of the total flavonoids from the seeds of Polygonum hydropiper L. Methods: By orthogonal test, investigate the effect of the concentration of ethanol, extraction time, extraction temperature and ratio of material to liquid on the total flavonoids content. Results: Under different conditions, the total flavonoids content examined is different. Conclusion : Extraction temperature and ratio of material to liquid are the most important factors in the extraction process. The optimum extraction condition has been established as follows: the concentration of ethanol 70%, extraction time 2. 0 h, extraction temperature 85℃ and ratio of material to liquid 1 : 15. Percentage composition of the total flavonoids is 4. 64%.
