Abstract
The present status of air quality and its changes and impacts in urban area of Kunming are analyzed with comprehensive pollution index method based on recent 2001~2010 regular monitoring datum by using the second class standard from Ambient Air Quality Standard(GB3095-1996).The results show that air quality in urban Kunming keeps excellent,and the content of inhalable particulate matter decreased considerably.However,nitrogen dioxide has contributed to the most pollution load little by little,which indicates that the type of air pollution has converged from pollution from the coal to pollution from the vehicle tail gas.There is obvious changing rule of SO2 and NO2 and PM in different seasons for different geographic and climate conditions.Air quality in Summer and Autumn is better than that in Spring and Winter.
