It is Necessary to Totally Transform Western Civilization into Chinese Civilization at Present

There are three approaches to dealing with the relation between Chinese philosophy and Western philosophy,this is,transforming Chinese civilization into Western civilization;equating Chinese civilization and Western civilization or opposing Chinese civilization and Western civilization;and transforming Western civilization into Chinese civilization.Based on a historical review of philosophical communication between Western civilization and Chinese civilization since the end of Ming Dynasty,this paper holds that,totally transforming Western civilization into Chinese civilization is the only choice of Chinese philosophy,and that the other approaches are not practical.Chinese developed a complete discourse system in the 5000-year history.Using this discourse system,Chinese transformed Buddhism into Chinese philosophy and produced Zen.Likewise,contemporary Chinese should transform Western civilization into Chinese philosophy and open a new era of Chinese civilization.
