Research on the Effect Comparison of One-time Visit and Many-times Visit Root Canal Therapy for Non-sinus Chronic Periapical Periodontitis

Objective:Observing and comparing the clinical effect of one-time visit and many-times visit root canal therapy for non-sinus chronic periapical periodontitis.Method:Choosing 150 single-root teeth which are needed to be cured by root canal therapy,and these teeth were diagnose as non-sinus chronic periapical periodontitis.Randomly dividing them into 2 groups for one group 75 teeth.One-time group directly operated root canal obturation after shaping and ingation,the many-times group was needed to be sealed with calcium hydroxide pointed for 2 weeks after root canal shaping and ingation,and then operated root canal obturation.Then observing the pain of postoperative in a week and therapeutic effect after a year for the 2 groups.Result:For postoperative in a week,one-time group was slightly higher than many-times group,the success rate after a year,one-time group was slightly lower than many-times group,but through statistical analysis,the 2 groups have no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:One-time visit root canal therapy is the effective therapeutic methods for non-sinus chronic periapical periodontitis.
