The researches on guarantee mechanisms of QoS in Ad hoc network

Abstract

The problem of guaranteeing QoS in Ad hoc network is a complicated open issue. This paper firstly introduces various difficulties in providing QoS in Ad hoc network. Then the dynamic QoS guarantee mechanisms and QoS aware middle adaptation schemes are discussed in detail. Afterwards, a MAC protocol which can support QoS and some related schemes are introduced. Finally, metrics that can evaluate QoS and QoS routing are discussed and some conclusions are given.
