Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of lipoicacid (LA )on expression of interleukin-10 (IL-10) in rat with acute lung injury (ALI) induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Methods 72 rats were randomly divided into four groups (normal group,LPS group, LPS+LA 30 mg group, LPS+LA 100 mg group).ALI model was made by hypoglossial injection of LPS,and 30 minutes later LA was injected in LPS+LA 30 mg group,and LPS+LA 100 mg group.At 1,3 and 6h after LPS injection, the lung homogenates and serum were prepared to detect IL-10 levels.Results In LPS group, the levels of IL-10 in serum and lung homogenates were higher than those of normal group (P0.01),but lower than those of LPS+LA 30 mg group and LPS+LA 100 mg group at 3h and 6h after LPS injection (P0.05).In LPS+LA 100 mg group,IL-10 levels in serum and lung homogenates at 3h and 6h were higher than those of LPS+LA 30 mg group (P0.05).Conclusion LPS could lead to ALI,LA could up-regulate IL-10 levels and improve the injury of lungs.
