Abstract
The process of culvert soil backfilling in layers was numerically simulated by the life-and-death unit of analysis software of FEM(ANSYS).Then, the distribution law of the vertical earth pressure on the egg-shaped arch culvert and the trunk culvert was analyzed. The concentration factor of numerical simulation was compared with the whole calculation. The real test result of egg-shaped arch culvert stress indicates that the calculation result of numerical simulation better conforms to engineering reality.
