Abstract

The woody plants of different park in Zhengzhou city were studied in this paper. The typical sampling method was used in this survey. Then the composition of plant community, the origination of plants and the species diversity index were analyzed and compared. The results showed that there were 54 families, 103 genera and 173 species. Among them, 29 species were local plants, which account for 16.8%. 110 species were introduced from other regions of China, which account for 63.5%. 34 species were introduced from foreign countries, which account for 19.7%. The abundance index of the tree layer was higher than the shrub layer. The Simpson index and the Shannon-Wiener index showed similar trends, and the Simpson index was higher than 0.5 in tree layer. But the Simpson index of the tree layer was higher than the shrub layer. The range of Pielou index of tree layer was 0.70~0.86, and the Pielou index of tree layers was higher than the shrub layers.
