Abstract
Microstructure and mechanical properties of TRIP steel with and without Nb were investigated and the volume fraction of retained austenite and the carbon concentration in retained austenite of the different samples were measured and calculated with the X-ray diffraction method. The results show that the volume fraction of ferrite decreases with the increase of the annealing temperature.Compared with the TRIP steel without Nb,the TRIP steel with Nb has more carbon concentration in retained austenite and higher tensile strength and ductility. It is,therefore, the stability of retained austenite and the mechanical properties of TRIP steel with Nb is better than that without Nb.
