Clinical Analysis on 42 Cases of Labor under Epidural Anesthesia

Objective To explore the clinical effect of epidural anesthesia during labor.Method 42 cases of pregnant woman volunteers were randomizedly given epidural anesthesia during labor,and 65 cases of pregnant women without any application of analgesia served as the control group.The analgesic effect of epidural anesthesia,the stages of labor,the outcome of delivery,the postpartum hemorrhage,application of oxytocin and Apgar score of newborns in two groups were observed,the data was analysed statistically.Results The effective analegsic rate of epidural anesthesia during labor was 100%.The second stage of labor was longer and the application of oxytocin was more in the epidural anesthesia group than that in the control group(P0.05).There was on significant difference in the numbers of spontaneous labor,transvaginal assisted labor,cesarean section,postpartum hemorrhage and Apgar score of newborns between the two groups.Conclusions The analegsic effect of epidual anesthesia is good and safe during labor,there are no bad influences on pregnancy women and fetus.
