Abstract
Using semi-enclosed solution polymerization method with a redox system, the acrylamide terpolymer(DMC-DMDAAC-AM)cationic flocculant was prepared in this paper The effects of monomer ratio, cation concentration, amount of initiator and additive ratio on the product performance were studied. The factors influencing on intrinsic viscosity and solubility of the product were also studied in detail. The results showed that the best response to concentration is:AM 16.72%,DMC 12.84%,DADAAC 13.56%,deionized water 53.64%,EDTA 0.003 12%,AIBA 0.044 22%,APS 0.001 82%,SFS 0.001 76.The cationic degree of the product is enhanced,so the flocculation performance is also improved. The terpolymer was characterized by IR and NMR.
