Application of soil seed bank in wasteland revegetation project

With the material 5cm deep of top soil,which is under the woods of Chinese Cork Oak(Quercus variabilisi)n the urban constructing lands of Osaka International Culture Park in Minoh city,Osaka prefecture,the author carried out a small-scale spreading test of forest top soil.A small piece of wasteland is used as the test field,in Yamadaike Park in Hirokata city,Osaka prefecture.Based on the ecological significance of soil seed bank,the purpose of this research is to discuss the possibility of revegetation using forest top soil.Furthermore,the research analyzes the vegetation species of soil seed bank,the number of germinant plants in different treatments,the status of seedling growth in the early time,the forming of vegetation,the relationship of the germinant plant species and the vegetation in the soil collection area and the effect of different treatments on the germinant plants and so on.
