Treatment of intra-articular fracture of calcaneus with calcaneus reconstruction plate

Abstract

Abstratct: Objective To investigate the surgical treatment and clinical effect of the intra-articular fracture of calcaneus by internal fixation with reconstruction plate.Methods 21cases(23 feet)with SandersⅡ,Ⅲ fracture were treated with reconstruction plate.The results of reduction were evaluated according to measurement of Blher and Gissane angles.Results 21 cases were followed up for 8 to 25 months.Blher angle corrected from 12.5°±0.6° preoperatively to 36°±0.4° postoperatively.Gissane angle corrected from 98.7°±0.5° preoperatively to 135.3°±0.7° postoperatively.According to curative effect of foot score,the results were excellent in 14 feet,good in 7,and poor in 2.Conclusions The surgical treatment of calcaneus intra-articular fracture with reconstruction plate is simple and reliable.
