Abstract
In order to search new type of the molybdenum deposit in the Bajiazi lead-zinc-silver ore field, a comparison research has been carried out on the basis of deposit characteristics of Bajiazi-yangjiazhangzi ore zone. It is considered that there is an ores accumulation area every 10km, which is composed of several to tens of deposits; and the mineralization and ore elements show clear zonings around magmatite body every certain ore accumulation area. The Bajiazi lead-zinc-silver deposit bears similar feature. It is therefore proposed that there is a complete ore forming series in the Bajiazi ore field with the Lugou granite porphyry as a ore forming center which possess various geological conditions for the Lanjiagou type large scale porphyry molybdenum deposit. Thick molybdenum orebodies were found in Mo anomalies of the Bajiazi lead-zinc-silver polymetallic ore field.
