Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of Bushenjuanbi soup combined with small dose methotrexate in treating elderly rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: 82 patients were divided into treatment group and control group,41 cases of each group. The control group was given Methotrexate treatment and the treatment group was given additional Bushenjuanbi soup,1 agent daily. Two groups were treated for four months. Recorded the joint swelling, joint pain index, hands grip strength, morning stiffness before and after the treatment. Detect the blood sedimentation,c-reactive protein, rheumatoid factor before and after treatment and record adverse reactions in both groups. Results: The clinical effective rate was 95. 11% in treatment group and 80. 48% in control group. Compared of the two groups, the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). The joint swelling index, the index of joint pain, morning stiffness time, hands grip strength of two groups were improved compared with before the treatment( P 0. 01). The treatment group was better than that of control group. The difference was statistically significant( P 0. 01). The blood sedimentation after treatment,c-reactive protein and rheumatoid factor levels of two groups were reduced. The blood sedimentation after treatment,c-reactive protein level and rheumatoid factor of treatment group were lower than that of control group( P 0. 01); The total incidence of adverse reactions was 17. 07% in treatment group and 65. 85% in control group, the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 01). Conclusion: Bushenjuanbi soup combined with small dose methotrexate in treating elderly rheumatoid arthritis can improve clinical curative effect and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions.
