Abstract
The activity of Caspase-3 and expression of Caspase-3 mRNA of splenic lymphocytes in the chicken with Vitamin E(VE) deficiency were detected by colorimetry and semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).The results showed that the activity of Caspase-3 and abundance of Caspase-3 mRNA was higher in VE deficiency chicken than those of control(P0.01).The results indicate that the changes of Caspase-3 activity and Caspase-3 mRNA abundance are one of the regulation mechanisms on lymphocyte apoptosis in the chicken with VE deficiency.
