Abstract

After briefly analysing the coding and decoding algorithm of the G.729 speech codec,a scheme for G.729 speech codec algorithm based on TMS320C54x chip is presented.Some optimized methods are proposed according to the characters of the algorithm and DSP.The simulated results show that the operational complexity is reduced greatly and the synthesized' codec effect is very good.
