The design and application of oracle spatial database

Abstract

By considering the trend of “Digital Earth” and “Digital Region”,Geographic Information System should process tremendous spatial data and it's attribute data.But now,the individual storage of the data is not convenient for data share and manipulation.Considering this,this paper introduces the storage and management scheme of spatial data in Oracle Database,brings forward a method for MapX to access Spatial Database,and discusses the programming of spatial analysis in the application system based on Oracle Spatial Database.
