Abstract
The ANSYS is used to analyze the seismic response of an existing long span concrete-filled steel tube(CFST) arch bridge,in which the seismic traveling wave effect on the bridge is mainly is considered. The results of the analysis indicate that the transverse bending moment at the arch spring of the bridge after the traveling wave effect is considered is 40.6% greater than that when the traveling wave effect is not considered and in the seismic resistance design of long span CFST arch bridges, the traveling wave effect should be therefore considered.
