Abstract

The method of transmitting in cylindrical transducer with broadband and directivity was brought forward.The excitation fashion of Piezoelectric cylindrical and the principle of broadband formation were researched at first.Then the piezoelectric cylindrical transducer was researched by finite element method.The finite element model of transducer was set up with Ansys software.The vibration character,conductance character and the radiation character were analyzed.A cylindrical underwater transducer with broadband directivity was designed,which used the composite excitation,breathing mode and dipole mode of vibration.The results show that the bandwidth of transducer was 15~30 kHz and the ripple of transmitting voltage did not exceed ±4 dB.the transducer had the good heart-type directivity.
