Abstract
The reasons for measurement error of pipeline cathodic protection potential are analyzed. The configuration and use of polarized probe are expounded.Combined with an engineering example of parameter measurement, the actual effect of the polarized probe with Cu/saturated CuSO4 reference electrode in terms of eliminating IR drop during measurement of cathodic protection parameters of buried natural gas steel pipeline is investigated.Under the normal operation of pipeline cathodic protection, the polarized probe method has the smallest potential measurement error compared to other measurement methods. This method can measure the pipeline cathodic protection potential that is the closest to the true value.
