Abstract
To study the physiological mechanisms of Cu2+ affecting seedling growth of Cercis chinensis Bunge,seed of C.chinensis was stressed by CuSO4 solution;and germination rate,germination index,vigor index of seeds and content of malondialdehyde(MDA),soluble sugar,Proline(Pro) and peroxidase(POD) activity and cell membrane permeability in seedling was determined.The results showed that C.chinensis seeds had strong tolerance against heavy metal Cu2+ stress as LC100 and LC50 were 183.40 and 104.22 mg/L respectively.With the increase of CuSO4 concentration,germination rate,germination index,vigor index of C.chinensis seed decreased gradually;cell membrane permeability and MDA,soluble sugar,Pro content in seedling increased at different degree;while POD activity showed a decrease trend after increased firstly.
