Abstract

With the site measurements and theoretical analysis conducted on the stresses of the advance coal seam and sectional coal pillars in No.215205 fully mechanized coal mining face of Shiyaodian Mine, the stress distribution features of the coal seam under the conditions were understood. The results showed that the advance support pressure peak of the coal mining face was in front of the coal wall with a distance of 3~4m,the influence scope was about 10.25~13.5m and the sectional coal pillar with 20m set in the coal mining face could meet the support requirements. The achievements obtained would have the guidance role to the advance support scope and the coal pillar rationally set of the coal mining face under the similar geological conditions.
