Abstract

Hawthorne's artistic style in The Scarlet Letter finds full empression in the dimness,vagueness,mystery,dynamic leaping and wandering and symbols.This essay will give an analytical study of Hawthorne's artistic style in The Scarlet Letter from the subject changeable in the dimness,the ghost-like characters wandering about in the novel,the mysterious scene and the symbol that contains rich meanings.
