Studies on early selection traits of Jianhe white xiang pig in Guizhou

The correlation among 5 growth traits of taking 28 Jianhe white xiang pigs in Guizhou were studied,using the principle of correlation and regression analysis. The direct and indirect effects of body weight at 6 months with 5 growth traits at 3 months piglets and decision degree had been determined.The relationship among growth traits were analyzed,the results showed that body weight at 3 months with chest girth,belly girth,body length at 3 months with body length,chest girth,belly girth,chest girth with belly girth at 3 months were closely related, and body weight at 6 months(y)was mostly influenced by body weight at 3 months(x 1).The best regression equation was selected through further progressively regression method. Therefore,early growth of Jianhe white xiang pig should be studied through the 3 month body weight to research body weight at 6 months.
