Abstract
The first stage of east and middle route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project(SNWTP) is an important measure to mitigate existing water crisis and to optimize allocation of water resources in northern China. After completion of this project, water will be transported to the water-receiving areas. To maximize water diversion benefits, several problems have to be resolved. How to optimize water price policy? How to allocation local water and diversion water? The paper discusses relation between water price policy of local water resources in water-receiving areas and that of the first stage east and middle routes of SNWTP.By applying a math model to analyze water price policy, several water price polices were suggested.
