Abstract

Soil samples from 42 kiwifruit orchards in Meixian county,Shaanxi Province were analyzed. The results showed that the average content of soil organic matter is 13.98 g/kg,with 23.8% of investigated orchards over 15 g/kg;average soil available N is 134.80 mg/kg,with 30.95% of the orchards sufficient,14.29% over supply and about 55% in short supply;average soil available P is 38.13 mg/kg,16.6% of the orchards have enough supply and about 83% in short supply;average soil available K is 177.73 mg/kg,with 1/3 of the orchards over supply,1/3 sufficient and 1/3 in short supply;average soil available Fe is 6.83 mg /kg,10% of the orchards is closed to critical point of cholorosis and the rest is lower than that;soil pH is 7.15~8.5,most of the orchard soil being slight alkalinity.
