Abstract
The socialist outlook on honor and shame, with the “eight honor and eight shame” as its major content, is an important component of the series of strategic thoughts proposed by the central Communist Party under the leadership of Secretary-general Hu Jintao. It is a significant task for the whole party and whole country to build up and carry out the socialist outlook on honor and shame. This thesis provided the present author’s views on three questions concerning the outlook: the basis and significance of the socialist outlook on honor and shame, its profound and deep meanings, and the importance of establishing and perfecting a long-running system to build up and carry out the outlook.
