'The Literary Highlights in Tang Dynasty' is a literature survey of Tang Dynasty complied by Yao Xuan.The survey is an easy and comprehensive tool for the scholars to learn the literature of Tang Dynasty and work in concert with restores the old the ideological literature trends of early Song Dynasty.Thus it is one of the propellents of article innovation of Song Dynasty.The main doctrine of the survey is to respect Confucian and the Confucian classical literature,with attention to enlightened function of literature.But it is also to pay attention to Buddhism and Daoism.It collects so many patterns that it shows the real changes of the literature of Tang Dynasty.This article is coordinated the styles、ideas of the literature and the influence to the later dynasties in order to attract the readers' interests to the book.
