Abstract
Objective To observe the changes of plasma urotensinⅡ(UⅡ) and adrenomedullin(ADM) in chronic heart failure(CHF) and their clinical implications and observe clinical effect with Shenfu injection and its effect on levels of UⅡand ADM.Methods Plasma UⅡ,ADM levels and the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular mass index(LVMI) of 82 patients with CHF and 65 control subjects were measured and analyzed.CHF patients were randomly divided into 2 groups, including control group using conventional treatment and the treatment group in the conventional treatment and Shenfu injection. To observe clinical efficacy after 2 weeks late,Plasma UⅡ,ADM levels were measured before and after treatment. Results ADM and UⅡof CHF patients were significantly higher than that of the healthy group(P all0.01).The levels of plasma UⅡ and ADM increased parallel with the severity of heart failure.UⅡ negatively correlated with LVEF,and positive correlated with LVMI and ADM.Compared before and after treatment, there were significant differences in two groups of patients with ADM and UⅡ.After treatment, the group compared each other also had the significance difference(P0.05).Conclusion The levels of plasma UⅡ and ADM increased with the severity of heart failure,UⅡ,ADM fellowship CHF pathology physiological process. The plasma UⅡ level in CHF patients may serve as an index of the severity of CHF and the assessment for treatment effect. The Shenfu injection can improve cardiac function, reduce plasma UⅡand ADM levels.
