Clinical Observation on the Effect of Combined TCM and WM on Nephritic Syndrome with Diabetes Mellitus

Sixty four cases of Diabetes Mellitus were randomly divided into the treatment group(32 cases) and the control group (32 cases).The treatment group were treated with Jiangtang Baoshen Decoction(降糖保肾汤) besides the therapy in the control group.Protein evacuate rate in 24 hour urine,blood sugar on an empty stomach,sugar ferrohemoglobin,total cholesterol and glycerin before and after treatment were determined.Results:In the treatment group,13 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective,4 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 87.5%.In the control group,7 cases were markedly effective,13 cases were effective,12 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 62.5%.In the treatment group the indexes markedly descended (P0.01),in the control group only two indexes descended (P0.05).The difference between the in two groups was significant.
