Abstract
Aim To prove the feasibility of Conventional projectiles launched with hypervelocity weapons is stated. Methods The loads and strong electromagnetic environments of projectile in chamber, the aerodynamic heating of the hypervelocity projectiles are analyzed as compared to conventional projectiles. Results The pressure on the bottom of the projectile, the electromagnetic environment and the eroding of the fin and the rear surface of the projectile have prominent effects on the conventional projectiale designed to be launched with hypervelocity. Conclusion With a proper design, conventional projectiles can be launched with hypervelocity.
