Abstract

Objective:To observe the efficacy of Leflunomide and Methotrexate combined with Sulfasalazine Regimen in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Methods:We divided 98 cases of rheumatoid arthritis who were treated in our hospital from October 2009 to January 2010 randomly into control group and treatment group, each group 49 cases. In the control group, the patients were treated with Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine and in the treatment group, the patients were treated with Leflunomide and Methotrexate. Results:The total effective rate was 71.4% by using Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine for 6 months. And it was 89.8% by using Leflunomide and Methotrexate for 6 months. Conclusion:It is a safe and effective way to treat rheumatoid arthritis with Leflunomide and Methotrexate.
