Abstract

Poisson algebras are algebras with an associative algebra structure and a Lie algebra structure,both of which satisfy the Leibniz law.The Poisson algebra structures on the Witt algebra and the Virasoro algebra are determined in base fields of both characteristic zero and characteristic p0.
