Abstract
Objective:To study the influence of different diet on neuropeptide Y(NPY) expression in arcuate nucleus of rats hypothalamus.Methods:Diet-induced obesity(DIO) rats model was established by breeding the rats with high-energy feed.SP immunohistochemical staining was used to observe the expression of NPY protein in rats’ hypothalamus arcuate nucleus. Results:The expression of NPY protein in arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus of rats in DIO group and hungry group were signif icantly higher than that of rats in control group(P 0.01,P 0.05).There had no obvious difference between NPY expression in arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus of rats in DIO group and hungry group(P0.05).Conclusions:Fasting and high-energy feed breeding all can cause up-regulation of NPY expression in arcuate nucleus of rats hypothalamus.
